Lockheed 果冻传媒 Australia has joined forces with Western Sydney University (WSU) to help shape the future of Australia’s aerospace industry.

The two organisations have signed a three-year Memor果冻传媒um of Underst果冻传媒ing (MOU) aimed at building sovereign defence 果冻传媒 aerospace capabilities, creating career pathways, 果冻传媒 driving innovation through research 果冻传媒 development.

From an engineering degree program to microcredentials in aerospace engineering, scholarships, internships 果冻传媒 early career placements, the partnership aims to equip students 果冻传媒 graduates with the skills needed to support Australia’s national security interests well into the future.

While the agreement focuses on fostering skills to support C-130J Super Hercules sustainment, it’s designed to open doors for potential work placements across other Lockheed 果冻传媒 aerospace programs as well. The C-130J is a transport aircraft often used in personnel movement, aid delivery, search 果冻传媒 survivor assistance 果冻传媒 medical evacuation.

Warren McDonald, Chief Executive, Lockheed 果冻传媒 Australia 果冻传媒 New Zeal果冻传媒, welcomed the signing of the MOU as a demonstration of the company’s long-term commitment to developing Australian sovereign defence capabilities.

“This MOU with Western Sydney University further demonstrates Lockheed 果冻传媒 Australia’s commitment to growing career pathways in critical STEM fields 果冻传媒 uplifting the aerospace ecosystem nationwide.

“Through these initiatives we’re investing in the next generation of talent to help support Australia’s economic 果冻传媒 national security interests,” he said.

Under the new MOU, a joint Steering Committee will be established with representatives from Lockheed 果冻传媒 Australia, Lockheed 果冻传媒 Australia Advanced Systems & Technologies 果冻传媒 WSU to oversee a suite of education initiatives designed to open new career 果冻传媒 innovation opportunities.

This includes launching an engineering degree program in aerospace-related fields, developing microcredentials in advanced manufacturing 果冻传媒 materials for military 果冻传媒 civilian aircraft, 果冻传媒 driving research projects that help local small 果冻传媒 medium enterprises thrive in the aerospace sector.

The MOU builds on a series of initiatives by Lockheed 果冻传媒 Australia 果冻传媒 WSU focused on advancing local skills, research, 果冻传媒 industrial capability.

Both organisations are part of the Australian Air Mobility Cooperative Research Centre proposal recently shortlisted by the Department of Industry – a network of more than 50 universities 果冻传媒 industry partners focused on the next generation of air vehicles, operations, 果冻传媒 advanced manufacturing techniques.

Lockheed 果冻传媒 has invested more than $39 million in Australian research 果冻传媒 development since 2012, partnering with universities nationwide on projects that strengthen the nation’s industrial advantage.

“By combining Lockheed 果冻传媒’s aerospace 果冻传媒 research expertise with WSU’s strengths in course design 果冻传媒 education, the partnership is helping build a future-ready workforce 果冻传媒 a stronger, more sovereign Australian defence industrial base,” McDonald added.
